Three players, one wall-sized fire, and a set of controllers I built from scratch. Musea is a museum about the work of firefighters in Calabria, a region of southern Italy prone to wildfires. To explain that hazard to a younger audience, we made it physical.
Each player wields a custom controller that streams gyroscope data and inputs in real time to a Mac Mini running the experience, aiming a virtual nozzle by moving their whole arm. Putting the fire out only works if the three of them coordinate. The interaction is the lesson — collaboration, embodied and a little breathless. Made with Wolf in Motion.
